A question for the weights divas: how do you know when you should increase the amount of weight on a particular exercise, and how much should you increase it by? I'd ask this at the Circuit Training Seminar my gym is holding on Friday, but it's a "limited space" session and I'm thinking there won't be a space left by the time I call tomorrow.

... I think because when you're outside, fresh air, doing something that centers around the experience and not the exercise, you're apt to not think about it all so much. When I play racquetball, it's about kicking Erik's ass, not playing long enough to burn X amount of calories!

I got some more information on Pilates from my gym. Seems it will cost me ANOTHER $100 to do the Pilates program with the machines. But it sounds like a good deal -- two one-n-one sessions plus 12 group sessions. Is that good? Anyone know? I meet with Patrick again on Friday, which is always a good kick in the pants. He and I agreed to meet twice a month so I keep on track.

I still think I may try WW. Why does that feel like giving up? Even when I know it's not ...

Got some love from the scale today .. down just one little pound, but I'm glad to have gotten rid of it. I also wanted to report that my four-miler on Monday went extremely well, and I'm feeling very positive about my abbreviated training plan. Yay!
