Testing the comments ...

I hate the comments on this site. They suck. I'm going to install new ones tonight if I get the chance.

I was thinking of writing Luna and requesting samples ...

OK -- would everyone do me a favor? If you have a web site, send to me. That is, if you have a website you want linked to this discussion group! Thank you!!

My God, it's raining mini Luna bars around here. I went to my gyno on Monday and there in the waiting room were a bunch of promotional packets with coupons and samples of all kinds of womanly stuff--including those mini Lunas. I ate mine yesterday and thought the same thing: they're just the right size.

New Random Link of The Day!

[Notice how it's actually every FEW days. Sorry about that.]

Erik got some Luna bar samples over the weekend that were given out in these grab bags for the seniors who live in his ward. Apparently, you can't get them in that small, mini-size for purchase which TOTALLY sucks b/c I can never stand to eat a whole Luna bar. This size is PERFECT ...

Damn those Cliff bar people ...

For those following the Margarita Saga, I'm pleased to report that tonight's workout seemed just fine, and a half hour passed without feeling like I was going to die.

As you were.

Welcome, Robyn!

So, this weekend was a balls-out oink fest. And I enjoyed every last second of it. Yes indeedy.

I need to make this short because I'm late getting into the gym ...

Anyway, I want to thank everyone for their participation on this board. Those articles helped me SO much to see what I was doing wrong. It's great to hear how everyone is doing and getting some useful tips when it's needed.

I'm going for the unprocessed foods myself, Robyn. It's such a tough thing to get into the groove with it all. Especially when a nice bowl of Edy's Grande Light is calling my name ...

I haven't worked out in days. I'm feeling that sluggish thing you get when you go for too long. It's the perfect catalyst to get my ass back in there after about four days away. I don't want to lose this muscle tone and I don't want to get off track too much. Spending time with friends is ALWAYS more important than being at the gym -- let's never forget -- but it's not an excuse to let everything go to pot.

Hey -- what does everyone think about that new study that came out about how Atkins-type diets are safe for six months? I heard some girl on campus the other night praising the Atkins diet and that study --completely missing the point that the doctors who did the study say it's OK to do on a limited basis. She went on and on about how the bacon, cheese, etc., is JUST FINE on your cholesterol and how she barely has to workout at all ... I wanted to fucking smack her. And when I shot her a look, she giggled and gave me this, "Oh, poor fat girl! I'm just talking about how much weight I'VE lost."

Gah. Her muscle tone must be jello. I could whup her artery-clogged ass.

Lesson of the day:

intake of margaritas == much harder training sessions.

Yesterday Joe and I went to Chili's for lunch, and I felt it only fitting to celebrate surviving the last week, two exams, stressed-out husband, etc. And then, six hours later, I went to the gym, because I have to get my eight workouts in by the end of the month, and I have exactly one per day left.

Ten minutes and twenty-four seconds later, I was off that thing, dragging legs and arms. I was supposed to do half an hour.

I figure I should be back to normal by, say, November.
